When I’m not writing on here, I’m pitching stories to magazines and newspapers, and an essay of mine ran in last Sunday’s San Francisco Chronicle. It’s about Wales, and I showed it to a Welshman and he didn’t hate it. I can be really honest when I write and so I can’t always say that. Therefore, I’m sort of proud of my acute cultural observational skills, that I was able to write something about another culture and have someone from that culture read it and think: yep.
